The Hearst Gives Back Service Awards honored colleagues for their volunteer work in five categories, with special recognition for the San Francisco Chronicle’s Season of Sharing for more than 35 years of giving back in the Bay Area. Honorees received support in the form of donations to their chosen organizations.
Hearst Connecticut Media Group colleagues packed over 1,800 boxes, totaling nearly 55,000 pounds, for Connecticut Foodshare, an organization that distributes nutritious food to local partners.
NYC colleagues shopped two Tower Tag Sales, donating to the organizations of their choice on Hearst Gives Back and Fitch Community instead of paying cash, raising $165,000 with the Hearst match.
